Week 6
We are halfway there! Take a look at your progress so far. Do you like what you see? Do you like how you feel? If you doubled your weight loss so far would you be happy with your accomplishment? I feel really good about my progress. Just remember even if you are only losing 1 pound per week for the rest of the time you will still be 6 pounds smaller! Think of how much better your jeans would feel!

Week 3
The Week 3 results are in. This was a really tough week and I think after watching "The Biggest Loser" on T.V. it is traditionally a hard week. So don't be discouraged if you didn't lose just keep going! The weather is getting warmer so get out there and get active and hopefully those pounds will come sliding off! Work hard everybody!

Week 1
The results are in! I have decided to use the decimal points if you have a digital scale. So that's how these percentages were calculated. The numbers listed are as follows: Your weigh in number, pounds lost this week and percentage lost this week.
Congratulations everyone! You may notice several 0's because we had some late joiners, so welcome.
I lost weight this week and I feel invigorated! I already feel stronger and more in control of my eating. Thanks for doing this with me guys. Good luck this week!

Here we go!
OK. We have 5 contestants. I have e-mailed each of you your secret numbers. E-mail your weight to me each Monday morning and by Monday afternoon I will have a spreadsheet of our scores posted on the blog.
I am interested in knowing your weight loss strategies. I have a few things I am doing to get in shape.
First of all, I am a certifiable sugar addict! I am cutting out sweets. This is my 4th day of no sweets and I must say the cravings have really gone away. I even passed up dessert on my daughter's birthday!
Second, I am not eating after dinner. I find myself eating/snacking a ton after dinner--basically 4th meal. I have a good friend whose motto is "go to bed hungry, wake up skinnier in the morning!" I know I can cut out at least 500 calories this way.
Third, I am trying to be more active. I am not commiting to a strict exercise regimen, but I am trying to do more. On Tuesday I went to my daughter's school for the active kids club. I walked 1 1/2 miles with them and nearly died! It was amazing how much more energy I had that evening. I plan on taking walks with my family, going on hikes with friends etc. Baby steps!

Are You in it to Lose!?
Everyone. I am ready to lose this baby weight---and cruise weight--and I love candy weight....well you get the idea.
Game on. The Challange: to lose weight and get healthy over the next 12 weeks. Can we do it? Yes we can!
The Rules
*The competition is 12 weeks. Start date is April 19th the end date is July 12th.
*The winner is based on percentage body weight lost---not necessarily total weight lost.
*Every Monday is weigh-in day. Email your weight to bethanydekay@hotmail.com the sooner I get your weigh-in results the sooner I can update the spreadsheet. I'll send a reminder out each Sunday evening and if I don't hear from you on Monday I'll hunt you down!
*The investment is $10 per person. Money will be due by the end of week one.
*The winner receives the entire pot plus an additional $100 kicked in by the doctors plus a special bonus prize!
*If I don't get a before pic be sure to take one yourself. It's really fun to look back and see how far you've come.
*Each participant will be assigned a number as some people are not comfortable revealing their weight at this point. When you email me just write, for example, #3 weigh in at 170.4
